SeeFirst / Our approach
Intelligence you can check.
Understand what we collect, what the evidence supports and where the limits are.
What is SeeFirst?
SeeFirst, at seefirst.io, is competitor intelligence software for marketing agencies and local businesses. It monitors supported local-market signals and turns stored evidence into alerts, Prospect Scan reports and client briefings. Agencies can deliver intelligence through branded reports and client portals.
What does SeeFirst monitor?
Daily monitoring captures supported Google ratings and review counts. Website monitoring checks a bounded selection of public commercial pages for meaningful changes, including service and offer wording. Nearby discovery surfaces businesses to review as potential competitors. Coverage depends on source availability and the pages selected for monitoring.
What counts as a change?
The first successful capture establishes a baseline. Later captures can provide before-and-after evidence. Adding a competitor to monitoring is not a newly discovered business, and a newly discovered listing does not prove a business has just opened. A higher star rating is not evidence of a higher Google search ranking.
Are all Google reviews analysed?
No. Google Places supplies a limited sample, typically up to five reviews per listing, rather than the full review history. Review-count movement and analysis of sampled review text are different signals. An individual complaint is one observation, not proof of a recurring problem across the business.
How is AI used?
AI helps interpret the collected evidence and suggest actions. An observed change, its possible business significance and a recommended response are different things. Review the source and relevant context before making a claim to a client. Missing evidence should remain a stated limitation, not an invented finding.
How is Prospect Scan different?
Prospect Scan is a one-off comparison of a business and up to three selected competitors. It produces an agency-branded report and PDF. It does not start ongoing monitoring or establish a historical trend on its own. Comparisons over time require previous snapshots of the same listings.
What can an agency put its brand on?
Agency branding covers client portals and reports. Client emails use the agency sender name, design and reply-to, but are delivered from hello@seefirst.io with a small SeeFirst mailing-system credit. Agency Pro supports a verified custom portal domain.
What should I not expect?
SeeFirst does not promise exhaustive website coverage, access to private social content, universal social monitoring, real-time detection or guaranteed commercial results. A quiet period can mean no meaningful change was observed; an unavailable source must not be treated as evidence that nothing changed.
