FAQ
Why SeeFirst, answered honestly
Differentiation without hype. These answers match what the product actually does today.
What is SeeFirst?
Always-on local market intelligence. SeeFirst watches supported public signals around a business: competitors, Google ratings, reviews, commercial websites and nearby competitor discovery. It then turns meaningful changes into evidence, context and recommended next steps. Competitor intelligence is part of that view, not the entire product.
Why not just use Google Maps?
Maps is useful for a one-off look. It does not run ongoing checks for you, keep a change archive, attach stored evidence, send structured alerts and monthly briefings, or deliver white-label client experiences across many markets. SeeFirst is built for that ongoing workflow.
Why not ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is a conversational tool. SeeFirst is a monitoring system: scheduled checks, stored history, evidence-backed findings and structured intelligence (what changed → why it matters → what to do). You can discuss markets in ChatGPT; SeeFirst is designed to watch them over time and keep the proof.
Why not SEMrush or Ahrefs?
SeeFirst is complementary, not a replacement. Those tools focus on SEO, keywords and backlinks. SeeFirst focuses on local-market evidence: Google Business signals, reviews, ratings, commercial website changes, nearby competitor discovery and customer weakness themes.
Why not reputation software alone?
Reputation tools help you manage your own reviews and responses. SeeFirst watches the wider local market: competitor rating and review movement plus recurring complaint themes, so reputation work sits in market context. Many agencies use both.
Why pay if I can research competitors manually?
You can check manually. SeeFirst’s value is the system: watching multiple markets, retaining evidence, surfacing meaningful changes, turning information into intelligence, producing briefings and supporting client communication, at portfolio scale. The market keeps moving; manual research rarely keeps up.
Does SeeFirst replace my SEO / web / ads / reputation services?
No. For agencies it is an intelligence layer beside the services you already sell. It makes those services more informed; it does not replace rankings tools, ad platforms, CMS work or review-response workflows.
Does SeeFirst monitor social media?
No. SeeFirst does not currently monitor Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or other social platforms. It complements social and content work with local-market intelligence from supported Google and website signals.
Does SeeFirst track competitor pricing?
SeeFirst can surface commercial facts found on public HTML pages when website monitoring detects relevant page changes. That is not a dedicated pricing database, and it is not continuous real-time price tracking.
How often is information updated?
Google rating and review-count signals are based on daily snapshots. Website monitoring uses scheduled polling, not instantaneous or real-time detection. Meaningful changes generate evidence-backed alerts; monthly briefings summarise what changed when each account or client is due.
What can agencies do with a prospect / sample report?
After signup, agencies can run a prospect scan to generate a market snapshot for a business they are pitching. Hosted reports help clients see evidence and possible next steps. Start with the public sample report to understand the format, then run a real scan in your trial.
